Any chance of any different colors???? Anything but black.
I know it's a long shot, but any chance we can get a different color offered other than black? Or maybe a satin finish on the standard scale? Planning a purchase and figured I'd at least ask.
hi, i have a question, can this guitar be ordered in the EII version (and not as a custom shop)but in red sparkle and with a 25.5 scale?
I'm trying to decide on my next esp or ltd.. this one is nice.. no wait! that one is nicer!! aarrrgghhh...
Will the woodland camo be making a comeback? Great colour scheme and so much better than the urban camo imo.
Hey are these still being made? I saw this model on Sweetwater and it's out of stock currently. I placed an order hoping for the best. They won't charge until it ships so I'm not worried about losing my money, but I really want this guitar lol.
Will the Urban Camo versions of these be back anytime soon?
Hi, Not this year since they were discontinued last year, however that's not to say we couldn't bring them back in the future. Thanks for your comment.
The same guitar but with mini dot inlays and an evertune bridge will be so cool!
thanks for the suggestion!
Will Urban Camo return? And will there be any other finishes?
I backordered one From Samash. I got a voicemail last week. Which said, They expect some 4-6 weeks. Lets hope its true!

This model has steel frets?
this model will have nickel/silver frets
i just bought this item after being in love with it for like a year now lol. but i was really surprised when buzzing noise is coming from both pick ups ( i believe it s the cover thing) and that really disappointed me especially when you decide to pay more to get good quality. what to do in that case? can it be fixed? i sent many proof videos and voice notes to the dealer (thomann) and they asked me to wait further until they assess the issue. also i sent the same to the support team on this platform and haven t got any return message yet. what to do here?
Sorry you are having an issue, our customer service team is one of our busiest departments, it should note to allow up to 48 hours for them to respond. Though with international sales there little they can offer in terms of direct solutions and it would be best for you to work with your local ESP distributor to rectify any issue you may have.
I have the same problem. Looks it only happen with metallic cover EMG pickups, because I change the pickups to plastic EMG (same set) and the noise have disappeared. It is not the first time that it happens, I also had that problem with some EMG JH metallic pickups and no matter what guitar I use them on, they always make the same noise.
Is there noise in both humbucker and single (split) coil configurations?
This must be a great guitar, I just don´t like the flagged inlays...
thanks for sharing your opinion

can i order one painted lynch burst?
Hey Larry, via our ESP USA and Japanese custom shops you can.
Hi, I have an ESP Viper Standard Series from 2009. I'm thinking of changing the EMG 81/85 pickups with the new EMG 57TW/66TW set that will be available in the next few weeks. Since you already said in another comment that the production facility and specs are the same prior to the E-II line, I was wondering if the EMG solderless connect system with the EMG 3 way position solderless toggle will fit with my guitar. By fitting I mean if there is enough space for the 2 push/pull switches(which are bigger than normal pots), the 3 way solderless switch and the rest of the EMG solderless system. I would really appreciate your help.
Hey Spyros, might be a little tight with the buss in there too but you shouldn't have any issues with the pots or switch.
Thanks Carl for your reply. That helps a lot. I think I'm gonna try it.
Best of luck!
To second the comment below, have you remedied the balance on this guitar? Because it's an awesome guitar but it's so neck heavy. I don't want to drop $2500 for neck dive and have to drill to get the balance right...
Hey Myles, that is just the nature of instruments with this body shape as there is less material that make up the body. Personally I haven't had an issue with this or similar instruments with neck dive, I just hold onto the instrument and play it, problem solved.
Why won’t ya’ll move the strap buttons to better balance the instrument and eliminate neck dive?
Hi metalhed67, There are certain shapes such as this one which do not have the perfect balance of something like a Strat or any guitar with a more balanced body. You can move the button to the tip of the horn, that does help balance better, but it is more likely to break out the wood at the tip of the horn. This is why we use the traditional placement on the back of the horn.
What are the main differences between the E-II viper and an esp standard series viper prior to the E-II line? Any changes or same thing aside from pickups?
Hi Jack, The production facility and specs are the same, only the brand name has been changed.
Please tell me there are plans for a left handed version of these?
Camo or black
Hi Chris, No plans at this time but thanks for your suggestion. If you are in the US please contact Extreme Lefty guitars. They may be able to help. If they get enough requests sometimes we will make a small run for them.
Will the Urban camo be available for the baritone?
Hi Cain, This finish is not available for the Baritone version at this time.
