As one of the best-looking, best-sounding, and highest quality single cutaway guitars ever made, the E-II Eclipse is made in Japan at the ESP factory, and designed for serious players who rely on their guitars for professional-caliber stage and studio work. This guitar offers a collection of top-tier components, like a bone nut, Dunlop Straploks, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece. Perhaps most impressive is its set of EMG 57TW/66TW set for coil splitting each active pickup with individual push-pull controls on both volume knobs. Built with set-thru construction on a traditional full thickness mahogany body and mahogany neck, the latest version of the E-II Eclipse is available in three styles: a Buckeye burl maple top in Blue Natural Fade finish; a flamed maple top in Black Natural Burst; and a maple-capped Snow White Satin finish. All E-II Eclipse models offer high-end design features like multi-binding on the body, neck, and matching headstock, and include an ESP hardshell case.

Hi! Does it still come with a gloss neck? (hoping so) I know for instance the E-II M-II NT in black turquoise burst shows a gloss neck on the pictures but now comes with a satin neck, from what I've seen in a recent youtube review, wondering if it's also the case here. Thanks!

Todd B. ESP

Hi Marc, We've changed to all satin back of neck finish for E-II models, so the picture shown will be updated as soon as possible.

If you have any questions not answered on our product page, please contact ESP Customer Service at customerservice@espguitars.com

Hi!  If you are ok modding your guitar, this could work for you.  First clean the neck with a barely damp rag.  Using 2000 grit sandpaper gently in quarter sized circles polish the neck.  Pause every few minutes and wipe away the dust and prevent rubbing grey smudges into the finish.  Clean again and check for smudges, if found polish with new piece of sandpaper, wipe clean.

Next using polishing compound....

I don't think you're dumb, but this is the web and someone dumb will eventually read this.  Back to the show

Polish the neck frequently redampening the polishing cloth and reapplying compound frequently, again, polish in 1-2" swirls, do this until either you are happy with the finish or next you can use a silicone free car wax.  You can safely use what you have or brand you prefer as long as its silicone free.

This isn't a fresh nitro-gloss level of gloss but it's not bad at all, hope that helps!

Hi there, is full thickness eclipse available in Blue natural fade finish?

Todd B. ESP

Hi, No sorry there is not.

Seth K.

That is a great looking instrument. How hard would it be to get the Fishman pups in that finish?  Sorry if this has already been addressed below.

Todd B. ESP

Hi, we don't offer pickup swaps but many customers will and do replace pickups after purchasing the instrument. We try to offer a selection of instruments with various features including pickup type, but we cannot offer every available configuration. Thanks for your question.

Will this model be available through direct purchase from ESP? I have checked with several dealers and haven’t been able to find the black natural burst. Thank you.

Todd B. ESP

Hi, yes it will be available but we are out of stock at times between shipments and we fill our oldest backorders when we receive new stock. Best bet would be to get one on order with any ESP Dealer.

Is the truss rod a two way

Todd B. ESP

Hi Bill, Yes it is. We use 2 way truss rods on the majority of our products.
