Hi ESP, I'm upgrading from a F-104, and the F-4E is exactly what I want, but is it possible to get one with the smooth body (similar to the B-4E)? Nothing fancy, just without the pointy parts.

Hey ESP, are you still making the F-4E?  I can't find them anywhere.  Or is it just because of Coved 19

Carl N.

yes, this is a current model

Thanks Carl.  I did find one.  I live in a dry climate.  Is there anything I need to do for the wood?  With the Warwick's I've had I needed to put bees wax on them once a month.  But this appears to have a leaker over the wood.

If I wanted to replace the pickups on this bass, would I use active or passive pickups?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Bunter, you can use either type. Currently the pickups on this bass are passive pickups, but they run through an active preamp which turns the whole system active. You could also use active pickups in this type of setup.
