E-II ECLIPSE DB

PURPLE SPARKLE

$1,899.00 with case

Formerly called “ESP Standard”, all ESP E-II instruments are created at our ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars and basses. Of the thousands and thousands of Eclipse guitars ESP has created, few are as outstanding — or eye-grabbing — as the ESP E-II Eclipse DB in Purple Sparkle finish. It starts with set-neck construction of its maple-capped mahogany body and thin U-shaped mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. It continues with extra-thick white binding on the body, neck and headstock. Next, add high-end components like a bone nut, Schaller straplock, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece. Then get the sound you want from a set of EMG 66 (neck) and EMG 57 (bridge) active pickups. Ready for serious professional use on stage or in the studio, the E-II Eclipse-DB includes an ESP hardshell form-fitting case.

Hi! Is there an owner's manual for this guitar?

Robin P.

Hi Todd - Thanks, I'll circle back and let u know

Todd B. ESP

Hi Robin, OK, sounds good, thanks!

Robin P.

Is this guitar available with a Floyd Rose?   Thanks!

Todd B. ESP

Hi Robin, This model is not available with a Floyd.

Robin P.

I just ordered one of these.   Looks like I'll have it in October.   Looking forward to getting it.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Robin, Glad to hear that. Hope that you like it.

Marc H.

Could someone tell me if it is the same dark purple as the Kirk Hammett sig? I'm confused if it's the lighting or if it's the actual color we see on these picks..

Todd B. ESP

Hi Marc, This purple is brighter and lighter compared to the KH-2 Purple Sparkle. It is still a nice Purple but the color is lighter.

Iliana B.

I'm so in love with this guitar. it would suit my metal girl band perfectly.

Todd B. ESP

Hi liana, Glad to hear you like this model!

Nick K.

I hope you don’t play past the 17th fret, because unlike the standard eclipse models that have a very well sculpted neck joint, this one has the old vintage “binding box” there instead, it will hit your hand and if you’re not careful you can really hurt yourself on it

Todd B. ESP

Hi Nick, This model and the others with "double binding" on front and back of body do have the traditional heel shape, so they are definitely a bit more bulky compared to our Set Thru heel.
