Alfonso R.

This is almost perfect only I'd prefer a maple fretboard

Todd B. ESP

Hi Alfonso, Thanks for letting us know this.

Sven J.

Wow, this is (almost) exactly the guitar I was looking for for years! Traditional S shape with pickguard, 22 frets (!!!), SD pickups (always wanted to try the Pegasus/Sentient set!) and a fixed bridge. Of course there are some minor things I would have made different (Transparent black finish. And a maple fretboard would have suited the headstock better.), but apart from that... really exactly what I was looking for for a long, long time. I just pre-ordered it at my local music store, can't wait to get it. Really excited about this. :-)

BTW, why are there so few guitars with less than 24 frets? Perhaps it's my fault, but I always have the feeling that the neck pickup is getting in my way when it is too close to the bridge, which is almost always the case with 24 fret guitars.

Hi Sven, Glad you like this design and it fits most of your needs. Yes there are less 22 fret guitars out there these days. It seems that many designs are defaulting to the 24 frets kind of like having more is better, but I totally understand your points about 22F. It's a classic design and not necessary to have 24 frets.

Why are this model and the Black Metal series made in Indonesia while many other LTD 1000 series guitars are made in South Korea?
Are you planning to produce all of the LTD 1000 series models in Indonesia soon?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Jonathan,

We constantly monitor production standards at our various factories in Asia where we produce LTD models. Should we determine that a certain facility is capable of manufacturing an instrument to ESP's required standard or better, we may decide to shift production, or in some cases share production of a model, wherever that factory may be located. The guitar should be of excellent quality regardless of where it's made, and it will have passed our own quality assurance testing.

Where this guitar is construct? Korea or indonesia?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Marc, These are made in Indonesia.

And like always I would change a bit about this guitar. First of all changed a little bit body shape, especially horns in order to run a way as much as possible from FENDER BORINGCASTER look.  Monolit mahogany body. Fixed bridge.Only one high output pickup with push - pull for phase inversion. Maple bolted neck. 24 frets . Ebony fret board. Locking tuners. That would be a killer guitar.

Hey Dariusz M, Thanks for your suggestions.

Dariusz M. Again, that's YOUR taste. I'm assuming that ESP/LTD offers this guitar because there are many hard/rock metal players who like/prefer a more traditional Strat shape, but with the more 'modern' specs/features offered on ESP/LTD guitars. Good thing for you there's the ESP Custom Shop.

Todd B. ESP

HI Dariusz, thanks for adding your points here. Yes this is as close as we get to a traditional "S" shape guitar although it's not for everyone but it has a little of the traditional with the modern elements.
