Could you verify the string gauge / set used on this standard factory set-up? In the description, it looks like you're referencing an Elixir Nanoweb Light 8-string set (.010 - .064) obviously without the 8th (.074 gauge) string. Just would be good to know so we're not messing with intonation when swapping out strings.
Also - would be fantastic to see this E-II offered in the future with the Gotoh TOM like the 6 strings (which is arguably the best guitar I've ever owned .... and I've played electrics since 1987)
Thank you for making such an awesome product!
Absolutely the finest instrument I own or have owned and I have owned enough to be embarrassed by the number. The fit and finish is at a level other guitars should be measured by.
does it have stainless steel frets
unless specifically noted as stainless steel all fretwire will be made of nickel/silver
Nickle frets and a veneer top on a 2,300$ MIJ guitar. Would it really have sunk it for the extra 75$ to at least use SS frets?
alguien sabe cual es precio de esta guitarra "gracias"
I've owned this exact guitar for nearly 3 years now and I am still amazed by it. I have gone over this with a fine tooth comb again and again every time I clean it and it is flawless, even after 3 years!
Glad you're enjoying it
I own this guitar, it's my number one axe. Unfortunately the binding on each side of the neck, at the end where the locking nut starts, is super thin and has cracked and gone clean thru the finish. I've never so much as let this guitar out of my humidity monitored and controlled studio. It's also only a couple years old. I bought it in April of 2018. MAJOR bummer eh.... your warranty faq seems to exclude this.
Sorry to hear about that, our warranty covers manufacturing defects within the first year of ownership. Due to the nature of musical instruments cosmetic issues cannot be covered under warranty. Though this sounds like something that is repairable.
Considering the damage is no way my fault and that this is a new guitar, and that it cost me a fucking mint.... I'll definitely need to rethink buyig any more ESP guitars. Very Sad =(
hello,is there any reason why this looks like a schecter? thanks.
Hey Michael, I'm not sure why scheters look like ESPs.
Hi Guys, I have a question, does this Guitar, in black, comes with a certificate of authenticity? Thanks.
Good Day Eliezer, COAs will be available with ESP artist instruments and certain limited run models. Standard production models will not come with a COA. Hope this helps!
I think there is a wrong specification with the used strings: Elixir Nanoweb Light (.010/.013/.017/.030/.042/.054/.064/.074) -> These are eight strings. Love my Horizon FR-7 Black.
Hey Johannes, indeed they are eight strings. What a keen eye you have there. Glad you're enjoying your Horizon!
I loved my black turquoise burst Horizon FR-7 so much, that I bought the black version with the alder body. Just like my black turquoise burst, this Horizon is an incredibly well crafted and beautiful guitar. Thanks ESP for always delivering the best instruments!
Hey Cole, Thanks for sharing that with us. We're glad to hear that you like your ESP E-II Instruments. And thanks for choosing ESP!
