would it be possible to have it in satin white?

Daedalus

I bought this guitar ~5 years ago as my first electric guitar and I still use it to this day

Charles B.

A Left-Handed version of this would be killer. Could we shoot for that.

Joseph S.

Just got this guitar and absolutely love it. Is there a specific cleaner to remove fingerprints? I've never had an instrument with the satin finish and don't want to damage it

Todd B. ESP

Hi, we do not recommend frequent polishing of a satin finish. The more you polish the finish, the shinier it will become. Use a clean dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth with light pressure. You can use a standard guitar spray polish but go lightly, and wipe clean and dry immediately. Do not use any compound or abrasive polish.

Did you order through the ESP website?  If so what was the delivery time?

Miklos T.

I'd love this in white..

Todd B. ESP

thanks for letting us know.

I'd like to see a stripped down TE401B. 27" scale with an inverted head stock. Just the emg 81 at the bridge a volume knob and a two way toggle kill switch at the top like the 3 way switch on the EC models

Todd B. ESP

Thanks for suggesting that.

I think ESP/LTD should take a careful look at the TE lineup. It seems to me that it's missing something "in the middle". I mean, there are a few 200 and quite some 1000, but just one 401 model. I would love to see a 24 fret, bolt-on neck with (good) passive humbuckers guitar in the te-401 price range....

Todd B. ESP

Hi, thanks for pointing out your concerns. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

CBird

I bought the te-401 from zzounds.. I put 10-52 gauge strings on it cuz I play it tuned to c.. I keep it in a room with 30% humidity.. it’s been fine everyday for 5 months.. yesterday when I was tuning it about to play it, I heard a loud snap noise.. it scared the hell outta me and I looked all over the guitar and it was just fine..there was no marks no cracks no nothing.  today it was buzzing on the first 3 frets so I took it into a local shop and was informed that the truss rod in it is broken as it wouldn’t “tighten or loosen” I absolutely love this guitar and am at a loss.. I learned what a truss rod was yesterday.. how could something like this happen? Is it a know issue with this model? What should I do now? There has never been any adjustments to the truss rod as again I found out where it was and what it’s for yesterday! Unless they were made BEFORE I purchased the guitar brand new! When I was tuning it , it was very close to being In tune, I just needed to do a fine tuning on it so I could play. The guitar tech told me that tuning wouldn’t cause this issue and that the strings would break way before the rod if they were over tightened.. what should I do now?? I can play it from the 4th fret and above but I feel sick to my stomach about this. Andy thing below the 4th fret is t playable and the guitar told me it’s cuz the neck has a “back bow” . what should I do! Please help!

I just want to say that I've been using the TE-401 for two years now and it sounds AMAZING. I plug it into a Radial ProDI, which is connected into a Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen, which is connected into a Macbook Air M1, where I use STL ToneHub to shape my tone. Highly recommended!

Carl N.

glad you have been enjoying it and thanks for sharing!

Ga5t0n

I really would like to see this guitar getting a lefthanded version along with the 7 string one

Carl N.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi guys! Have stop manufacturing the  te-406fm. Thanks

Jeffrey G.

Is it possible to order this model but with a light colored maple neck?

Carl N.

Unfortunately not, our models are specified as shown, though you could always order from the custom shop but this will dramatically increase the cost.

Carson G.

Hi, I was wondering if the option to buy directly from you guys if we live in the US will be available again after the quarantine? Thanks!

Carl N.

yes, it will resume

Guillermo H.

Hello here in the description says PauFerro fingerboard, but in the other pages like Zzounds it says Resewood fingerboar

could you please clarify

thank you

Carl N.

The previous specification of this model included rosewood, perhaps this dealer has a previously produced model on hand.  Currently these are made with Pao ferro fingerboards.

What happened to the white model?

Carl N.

Thomas B.

Any chance of this being put out in 2020 with the “Het Set”, Fishman, or another premium pickup set?

Carl N.

Hey Thomas, no plans at the moment but be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to receive advanced information regarding all the instruments we will be releasing in 2020.

Cody H.

What's the difference between this and the older 406 model?  No white finish, different tuners, different fretboard?

Carl N.

Hey Cody, major difference between the two is that the 406 instruments were bolt on construction.  The 406 also had a rosewood fingerboard.
