So. Im kind of confused. It says the neck is thin u, comparing it to my mh1007qm which is also thin U (specs sheet) the neck on the mh is way thinner more like an extra thin U.
All thin U necks should be comparable, if you feel there is an issue with your instrument you can reach out to our service team at customerservice@espguitars.com
I own the brown one, its an awesome guitar. Does anyone have advice on string height? Considering each can be set individually. Im going for 1.3mm on high E and 1.8 on the low b. What about the other ones in between? There are no suggestions on that. I just set the plain steel ones to 1.3 and the wound ones to 1.8.
Our owner's manual provides basic setup specifications though personal preference may deviate from this guideline.
So for the low B, Ken measures using a Nickel coin. So about 1 to 1½ Nickel width. But thats on his new model with the Fishman pickups. You might wanna check with emg on the height they suggest
I know him. He's a really nice guy. He came to one of my band's shows once
Indeed James, Ken is a really nice guy and great player! Thanks for sharing!
Man this is such a great guitar! The killer tone from its construction plus those Fishman pickups with voicing switches, the way it looks and the fact that it's a 7 string all appeal to me greatly. I wish I could get one of these machines one of these days...
Hi Rolan, Thanks for your comments. Glad to hear you like this design and we also hope that you can try one out some day!
I picked up one of these at my local shop the other week (my first and only 7 string) It's absolutely amazing and the evertune is an absolute game changer! It's rare I buy a guitar and change nothing about it, but this one is perfect just the way it is. Great work Ken Susi and ESP.
Hey Nathan, Wow, that's great to hear! Thank you so much for sharing your experience here and for this instrument a chance!
