Just got this guitar and contrary to what others have said, guitar is light. Yes it is big,  but light. If you haven't played an explorer play around with them a bit too get use to the shape. But this guitar is amazing.  Light, plays fast, stays in tune, James' EMG pickups kill, neck is super comfortable. Just love this guitar

Solid guitar; Neck feels good, fretboard is smooth and slick, and very comfortable to play. Somewhat limited access on the frets closer to the body, but all round machine of a guitar. Not to mention the great JH Pickups

I got this guitar about a year ago, and I have a few things to say— it is definitely not a $1500 guitar. It definitely feels more like a $600-$700 guitar. It is the heaviest, most uncomfortable thing to play sitting down, and it’s probably the biggest of any of the axes if played. The qc is questionable. I don’t know if this is just relevant to mine, but there are multiple problems with the frets and the fretboards, such as the fact that the edges of the frets are not smooth and poke out very slightly out of the sides of the fretboard. The logo fell off when I changed strings for the first time, and the  knobs are in a way so that if you’re playing live, you can’t just shove your hand down and mute the guitar. There are some good things about the guitar, however. The pickups sound badass and the fretboard wood feels awesome. This guitar feels great if you play live(despite the knobs) because of the weight and the eventual angle of the guitar. Overall, it’s a 4/10. Not worth the $1500, and I’m definitely playing my $500 schecter 7 over this. Sounds great though
