Hey just looking for some history here, I have an m200fm with a neck through body and the same frets as the m-1001, my 200 seems to resemble the 1001 more , I’m confused, anybody know why, or is this a discontinued 200 series?thx

        Hey Gavin, unless otherwise noted in the description or specifications all frets will be a nickel/silver alloy.

          I have an M-1000 deluxe. It's a Studio Gears dealer exclusive and I'm told it was manufactured in 2016. Is the Floyd on my model a 1000 or 1000se with the stainless hardware.  Thanks!

            Hi sorry for the late reply to your question. Your bridge is the regular FR 1000 without stainless screws. We started using the SE version with stainless screws last year.

              Many thank for your reply Todd, it is thoroughly appreciated. I am definitely going to get this model as soon as I can as I think it looks darn gorgeous.

              One more questions I would like to ask is:

              (1) What is the difference between the Floyd Rose 1000SE and the Floyd Rose Original Tremolo Bridge because they both look identical to me but I take it that there are significant or particular differences between them?

                Hi Anthony, Glad to help. There are a few different levels of  Floyd Rose products out there. The FR 1000 Series are made to the original specs of the Original FR, but made in Asia as opposed to Germany. So the Original FR is the most expensive and best bridge you can buy, however, you get the same materials and construction on the FR 1000 series which we only use in manufacturing (I don't believe it's available as an after market product). The FR 1000SE is the Special Edition version we are using on our 1000 series guitars which includes stainless steel screws for the string lock screw, saddle hold down screw, and the nut lock screws. I hope this makes sense and I've explained it well enough.

                  I am newish to the ESP community.

                  I have a few questions I would like to ask as I am interested in this guitar and contemplating purchasing one soon: -

                  1) is the M-1001 model what Kirk Hammett White Zombie guitar is based on?

                  2) Will this take Ernie Ball Cobalt Power Slinky (.11 to .48) strings alright or do i need to consider an alternative make or sizing?

                  3) Is it possible if I desired to change one of the EMG 81 to an EMG 85 or 60? (New to considering upgrading guitar parts)?

                  4) Do you do the M-1001 in any other colour choices?

                    Hi Anthony, nice to hear from you. I'll answer your questions one by one.

                    1. The M-1001 is based on our M-series design (It goes back to the 80's when we released the ESP M-II model). Kirk's models are based on this same shape, but the specs are slightly different. Overall it looks and feels the same.

                    2. Yes it will take 11-48, however you will have to do some adjustments to the neck and bridge. We use 9-42 gauge as our standard string gauge. We recommend getting your guitar setup how you like it once you receive it.

                    3. It is not possible to order from ESP with different pickups. But it's easy for you to change after purchase. The EMG has a quick connect wire on the back of pickup so if you want to try a different pickup from EMG, just remove old pickup and plug in new pickup.

                    4. We don't have any other color choices for this exact model but we offer some other variations with slightly different specs. They are all listed on our website.
