I managed to find a deal on an old stock Arrow-401 last year, and what arrived was an older Korean model Arrow-401. This guitar was absolutely immaculate. I haven't seen any of the Indonesian or Chinese models in person, but my older Korean Arrow-401 is an absolutely fantastic guitar. Plays great and sounds fantastic. I'm getting ready to buy an E-II Arrow just to have both, but at more than double the price I just don't see how it can be thaaaaat much better. Love my Arrow-401, may do some bridge upgrades down the road, but other than that, it's a sweeeeeet guitar and well worth the money. Best v-styled guitar in the price range for sure.
what can i do if the authorized dealer in my country is not bringing this model?
Hello! hope you're great, i have a question, what options do I have if I'm searching this model to buy, but my local dealer told me that they're not bringing this model? i really want to buy this one.
Can we get this in a string-thru-body version, without the Floyd Rose?
Thanks for your suggestion.
Hello is it possible to find this guitar in Brazil?
if you have any questions you may reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com or https://www.espguitars.com/pages/support
Acho que aqui no Brasil, só de alguém que tenha importado...
Beautiful! How much does this guitar weight?
I saw a YouTube vid where the guitarists of Darkest Hour rave about the ESP version of this Arrow, the e-ii.
Can anyone tell me what gains are to be had by getting the ESP version over the ESP LTD? Is there a noticeable difference in how the two sound and how they feel while playing? Or is it just better quality features and made in Japan for the e-ii? How much does the e-ii weight? Thanks!!
These will be about 9lbs. I think this article would help with your question, this and other general information can be found within our FAQ section.

Is set-thru construction same as set-neck or neck-thru?
From our FAQ - Set-thru neck construction is an innovative technique in which the neck is glued to the body (like a set-neck), however the traditional bulky heel is carved away (similar to neck-thru-body construction). This makes access to the upper frets and the neck-to-body transition much smoother. Just as on a set-neck, you will get a combination of tone from both the neck and body with the set-thru construction. The sound will depend on the types of wood used, but generally will have a fuller, warmer tone when compared to most neck-thru-body guitars.
I just bought mine and I notice that the color of the fretboard is lighter and there is not the type name at the twelfth fret (besides, such as the picture on your website). No drama but this is not what I expected.
What is the difference between these two versions?
Doesn't sound like a different version, just a color of wood which is lighter than the one pictured. No two pieces of wood will have the same exact color, there will always be variations in grain, figuring, and hue.
Yes I guess no two pieces of wood the same exact color but I wonder if there was a «new» slightly different looking «version» in 2019 or 2020, I mean: the 401 pictured on your website is not the same that Jack Fliegler plays in the demo video (see the 12th fret for example).
Was there ever a version of this guitar made with a Tune-O-Matic (NT) installed instead of a Floyd Rose ?
Not previously, but the E-II version is currently available with a tune-o-matic bridge
I really want this guitar. Sometimes even dreams begin.
My arrow 401 has neck dive, I've tried different straps but it keeps diving. Have u heard of similar complaints? How can i fix? (Its a 2016 korea model.)
Hey Rem, haven't heard of this before with this instrument, thanks for pointing it out! I have a few instruments at home with neck dive, I don't really see this as an issue as when I'm playing them standing I am holding the neck to fret notes so...the neck doesn't really dive. I understand that letting go of the neck makes the neck droop towards the ground but I just pick it up and keep playing.
Are D'addario's the only brand of strings you use when you build ur guitars
Hey LJ, D'Addario will come standard on all LTD and ESP USA models while E-II and ESP Original instruments will use Elixir strings.
A 7 string arrow without a Floyd Rose would be great
Hey Matt, that would be great, thanks for the tip!
A ebony fretboard would be nice
Hi Ahren, Thanks for posting your suggestion here.
Just ordered one. Can't wait to play it! It will compliment my LTD F-400FM.
Hi Jeff, That's great to hear! Thanks for selecting this model as one of your next instruments!
Non trem version please.
Hi Hubert, thanks for your suggestion.
Hello, i have this beauty, in order to change my string gauge to 13-65 should i need to do a complete setup? Im playing B standard
Hi Luis, Yes you need a complete setup (adjust neck bow/truss rod; adjust the tremolo springs/ adjust intonation). For string gauges as thick as 65, it might be difficult to work in the Floyd Rose bridge. The only way to work is to add more heavy springs for the FR bridge. We suggest you take your guitar to a repair/setup tech for all this work to be done.
Quick question, is it possible to install an Evertune on this guitar when it’s in my possession, or is the body too thin?
Hi Austin, The body is thick enough but we would not suggest doing this because it is quite a lot of work. Your best bet is to contact Evertune directly and ask if they have ever installed on a guitar with an existing FR bridge. Usually they do installs on guitars with TOM bridge, which allows the route to be done from the original body. With the FR, there is already a lot of wood routed out, and you would have to patch that wood first before you routed for the Evertune.
I saw the latest Ltd Arrow preview, I gotta say, it looks good, but I think it could be even better if you reverse the headstock, and use the Emg 57/66 set. The reverse mirage style headstock is just simply good looking.
Hi Sam, thanks for your suggestions.
Is it possible for me to buy this through this website and ship it to Hong Kong ?
Hi HO, Sorry we don't ship out of the USA. Please contact your nearest distributor or dealer to request one of our instruments. Here is a link to our distributor page: https://www.espguitars.com/locations?categories=intl-distributors
