Where to Find Mimikyu Early in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

The Pokedex official entry shows three main areas for players to find Mimikyus in the wild. They are the northern tip of the Great Crater of Paldea, the ruins in the East Province (Area Two), and the named area called Tagtree Thicket.

1. East Province (Area Two)

The best place to find Mimikyu early is the Ruins west of Levincia town. You can catch them by battling these Pokemon roaming around in this area. This location is to the North-East side of Mesagoza, labeled as East Province (Area Two). The steps for catching Mimikyu here are as follows:

1). To find this elusive pokemon, you must start in East Province(Area Two).
2). From there, you have to travel across the river to reach the ruins, where you will find where Mimikyu spawns.
3). Starting from the health center, follow the path until you encounter the river with the path.
4). You can cross the river by swimming or jumping across to reach the other side.
5). Make your way to the ruins. It’s rare, so you must roam a bit to find Mimikyu in the environment.
6). Mimikyu is relatively small for its size, so you must keep your eyes peeled because you may miss him a few times, mistaking him for a spot on the screen.
7). You can also use Ghost Encounter or Fairy Encounter items to increase their spawn rate. You can get these Meal Powers with sure Sandwiches like the Classic Bocadillo.
8). Once you find him, battle him to capture it!

2. Tagtree Thicket

You’ll want to search within the Tagtree Thicket, a forest between the East and North Provinces of the Paldea region. This is one of the common spawn areas of Mimikyu, so once you find it, you will need to battle and defeat it. After they are defeated, they will drop 1-3 Mimikyu Scraps, which you can use to make TMs.

3. Great Crater of Paldea

You can find it on the northern tip of the crater and in the forests of Paldea.
