KH602 - better POTS?

My KH602 is about 2 years old. I am wondering if there are upgraded POTS you would suggest for Volume? The stick ones have a very abrupt drop off as you reduce volume. I am looking for volume pots with a smooth linear b volume raise and lower? I know the active EMG p/u's might have an effect. LMK what the experts recommend?  THX

I would try cleaning the pot with some good contact cleaner or deoxit spray (D-5), first. dirty pots can be a culprit to this problem.

If you do have to change it, read this:

1. "A" and "B" designators for linear vs. log/audio tapers are not standardized, so I would not base your search on that

2. you want a log/audio taper for the volume control. a linear taper will sound the same for most of the rotation, then towards the bottom will get quiet very quickly.

does your guitar have solderless wiring, or is it the old soldered style? if solderless, just replace it with the standard emg part: https://www.emgpickups.com/parts/pots/25k-volume.html. if not solderless, you can try e.g. alpha: https://guitarelectronics.com/alpha-25k-audio-taper-mini-pot/
