    Horizon Pic Request

    Would someone be so kind and post a pic of a Horizon with a Floyd in relation to the bridge pup and string height?

     

    I recently setup me Floyd and the string height over the bridge pup looks too close:

     

     

     

    It almost seems like I need a thinner pup ring, no?

     

    I guess its been a while since I setup this pig, and I don't remember the string height being so close.

    From the photo it looks like the ring isn't touching body, but it's probably a shadow. What I'd suggest is to add a bit of foam in the front of the pickup cavity to help bring the pickup parallel to the strings and then drop the pickup a bit.

      Take the ring off and the pickup out of the ring.

      Here's how to sand your ring down so that it keeps the correct profile for the arch of the Horizon top. You can focus on the back of the ring more than the front.

      I end up putting painter's tape around the entire piece of sand paper (to keep from scratching the finish.)
