Is this the fret wire ESP uses on their nice guitars? where can I get it from, and does it cost alot to have someone redo your frets? thanks.
ok cool, so how much do you think it will be for 22 6100 dunlop frets?
fret wire price is about irrelevant. the job itself is going to cost you the bulk sum of that.
If you find someone who can refret your guitar, they'll have the wire for you. You don't need to bring it to them.
The cost for a refret will depend on where you live, but in the US will run you anywhere from $250 - $400.

esp uses mystic steel fret wire tempered from iron mined from the sakura shaft in eastern japan. you can't obtain it yourself. 6100 is probably the closest civilian fretting you can get, though. It costs $6.66 an meter, but getting someone to do the re-fret is much more expensive. Probably looking at least $200-$300. At that cost you're better off using stainless steel wire, anyway.
