hooking up a cab

    Hey all, I have a 1X12 cab...it has 2 inputs says 16 ohm parallel. can I take the 2 8ohm outputs from my amp and plug them both into the cab? i dont get it...why would they wire a single speaker cab parallel with 2 input jacks?

    for dual output tube amps, you have to output them both somewhere, a tubes outputs have to be plugged into a load if the amp is on so thats why for even 112 cabinets they have two inputs..

    if you have a 8 ohm plugged into a 16 ohm cab, its not going to be as loud, which can be a good thing for tube amps, since you can crank it up to get your tone without the amp being really loud.
