PRS 5 way vs 3 way

    Are these switches interchangeable? Just wondering if I got one with the silly 5 way rotary, would I be able to change it out for a standard 3 way switch?

      Ah, cheers Jet. I keep finding nice PRS's with 5 way rotary switches so I was thinking I could just do the swap...hmm. Its only a little bit of effort, but its still effort at the end of the day :lol

        You can buy 3-way switches specifically to fit in place of the 5-way rotary found in PRS' as it's an extremely common mod on those guitars. If you can't find one then.. yeah. A little drilling may be in order.

          I changed the 5 way rotary to a 3 way toggle in my cu22. I also had to widen the hole that was left, I did mine by hand with a freshly sharpened drill bit. Now works a treat.
