wiring question

    hey guys i havent posted here in a long time so here goes. does anyone have the wiring diagram for wiring 2 seymour dancans on a 5 way switch? the diagram on the site shows a different selector switch from the one thats on my guitar. thanks

    Yes, Dimarzio and SD have different colors for their start & finish wires... the ground is always the same bare wire typically.

    Something to do to get around this debacle is you can make note of what wires from each pup go where... and then crosscheck the SD wire colors against where the Dimarzio wires are going.

    Here is the SD & Dimarzio Start/Finish wrap colors for the coils.
    NOTE:the finish start colors correspond per coil as you see them below, meaning that on Seymour Duncan's the Finish Red wire has a Start of Green. Likewise the White Finish has a Black Start

    SD
    Finish: Red/White
    Start: Green/Black

    Dimarzio:
    Finish: White/Black
    Start: Green/Red

    With the above color set you should be able to figure out where the new SD wires go.
