Signiture Series Vs Custom Shop

    Forgive me if this has been posted about I couldn't really find an explanation anywhere. Going through older catalogs and checking out the awesome models of yore I saw several artist models that had an STD ESP version and a Custom Shop version. For example Alexi Laiho had several guitars in the 2009 catalog that had an STD model and a Custom Shop model with the exact same build stats. I'm curious as to what if any differences Custom Shop models had from standard signature models and if they were more expensive.

    Unless something has changed, the ESP Custom shop is like 4 dudes in Japan and they make everything custom shop themselves.  Any of the other ESP models are team/factory built in the main Japanese factory.
