I’m in the process of buying an MX-2. But I see people talking on the forum both about the MX2 and MX250. Can someone tell me the differences?
thanks!

Hello,
So for what I know the MX-2 and MX-250 are the same model they just probably changed the name because of what it meant when they first started doing them, so it goes like this:
M-metallica
X-explorer
250- the price in yen it was sold for, 250.000 yen.
Now that they do them only in the custom shop, the 250 name doesn’t make sense e anymore.
If it was between an MX-250 and EXP, then the differences would be that the EXP has a bolt on neck and rosewood fingerboard.... and maybe also a maple neck (not sure about that...)
Additional useful info can be found on one o fine members website: www.guitarscollector.com it’s really good info.
So, I am a new owner of a 2019 MX-2 and this thing is just like a Mx-250...só just go ahead and buy one, you won’t regret it!
