Hi guys,

i am a proud owner of viper 400 and i want to get a hard case for it. The original hard case esp is a bit too expensive for me, so I'm wondering if it fits some viper replacement. Tnx

Thomann sells cheap private label cases and their cheapest "guaranteed fit" model for Vipers is a universal single-cut/double-cut case for 79€ ($75 for USA).

For something a bit more luxurious, they also sell a SG/Viper case from SKB for 168€ ($154 for USA), right now there's a B-Stock if you prefer a discount.

You can also check their all "double-cut" cases here, but only the former two (and obviously the official case from ESP) are guaranteed for a Viper fit.

I ended up buying the case from SKB myself (the B-stock unit for 137€). Even though it was advertised as a "double-cut" case, it is actually formed for the Viper shape (hence lot of bad reviews from Gibson SG users) so the fit is really natural and tight. The latches are nice and easy to use (the primitive key looks super insecure though), but the surface of the case feels like its bulging out and flexes when pressed which means I wouldn't trust it for rough transit.
