Other pickups in my LTD EC256

Hi, I want to upgrade my LTD EC256, I've had one other a few months ago, but it had to go back to the distributor, had some annoying fretbuzz they couldn't get out. So, got a new one, and didn't wanted the EMG's back in it. Why? I want something different, some pickups with character, where I can get a lot of different sounds out of it. I've got a very versatile amp, my Blackstar HT20, so.. It has to go from a very clean bluesy sound to a classic/hard rock sound, a sound that is very clear, where I can hear all the tones through. And another thing, I want to upgrade the hardware to gold or black, someone that has some experience with that? Thanks for feedback.. From Holland;)

This week I'm going to install a Seymour Duncan SH4-SH2n set :-)

I think for low end models, high output pickups are better than lower ones to hide the lesser sound of "firewood".

The SD set is nice and hot. A little too much treble for much for my likings. Very metal sounding set.
