Lol walley. the fail on that black ec400 was the headstock, and that is prepped and ready to be refinished finally. I like Gophers latter suggestion... "theres always more paint right?" its costly but yep. I was thinking of leaving it kind of like that, but doing a semigloss clear coat instead of the gloss. the semi gloss i put on the blackec400, DOES NOT SCRATCH or show anything. its pretty nice... but i do like the distressed look.. you have no idea how fun it is to sand on something that looks that nice lol.
The idea I have in my head right now, since theres only 2 layers of paint on this one, I cant do the truckster style look. I was thinking to sand on it with maybe some higher grit wetsanding paper, like just around the edges, dull it down some, bring some orange through the black, but NOT giving it the truckster trademarks of ya know, sanding where your hand rests, or around the knobs. the orange on the stripe would do it well enough. gonna take a bit to get it like that, but i think its worth a shot, could come out really sweet, otherwise, theres more paint... not much more, but some.
You mean kinda like a sunburst? That sounds awesome.
