How does ESP decide which EC's will be heavy and which will be light?

    Is it just me or are some light and some heavy? I had a friend who had a black cherry ec1000 that was light but lately ive been playing some at samash that were heavy like the alpine white and even the vintage black. I myself own an ESP Vintage Black Eclipse II that is light. Im interested in buying a heavy EC1000 though so whats the deal with this?

    I'm going to take a guess and say the maple top has something to do with it. (The STBC has a maple top, The White doesn't).
