Premier Guitar Reviews the LTD AP-204 Bass

Our friends at Premier Guitar magazine always do a thorough job with their product reviews. When we heard from them a number of months ago about an upcoming review on the LTD AP-204 bass, we were very happy about the opportunity for a bunch of PG readers to get to know one of the more affordable basses in our entire offerings. The updated AP-204 in its Dark Metallic Purple finish is part of our "New for 2021" collection, but a lot of the attention gets placed on the higher-end guitar and bass models, and there are plenty of bass players out there who need an instrument of the AP-204's quality level that's still within their budget.

Reviewer Victor Brodén seemed to really understand the value of the AP-204. He points out, "Casual inspection makes it easy to explain the solid feel of the instrument. The neck/body joint is tight, with no visible gap, and the bolt-on neck is affixed with six screws instead of four—a construction technique more commonly seen on higher-priced instruments."

"More than anything, I am impressed with the build, quality control, and finish on this LTD, which makes me more than a little curious about other offerings from the line. This AP-204 is clearly capable of delivering more than metal tones—and offers great value." - Victor Brodén reviewing the LTD AP-204 for Premier Guitar

As far as tone is concerned, the Screamer II combo takes on any sound challenge, whether stage or studio, shining with shimmering clean sounds, harmonic family lawyer crunchy breakup and a hefty thump in the lead channel. It’s easy to handle, but a true heavyweight in terms of sound!
