Has the black model a maple top too?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Joes, The black model does not have a maple top. Please note that the Flame Maple top models only have a figured veneer on the top. They do not have a thick cap of maple which you may be thinking of.

Anyone know where I can get get a replacement for the gold pick up switch?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Joseph, You can contact our customer service team, or if you check online there are many parts suppliers. Here are a few: Allparts (https://www.allparts.com/) ; WD Music (https://www.wdmusic.com/) ; Stewmac (https://www.stewmac.com/)

Do all the 256 guitars neck wood look that discolored ?

Todd B. ESP

Hi David, I'm not sure what wood you are referring to? Is it the fingerboard? That seems to be the only visible wood for the neck. It has a slightly lighter brown tint compared to a dark rosewood but it can vary slightly. Recently most guitar manufacturers have switched from Rosewood to another type of wood due to  International Trade regulations and restrictions. You can read more about it here: https://www.espguitars.com/articles/2007472-moving-responsibly-into-the-future-with-sustainable-materials

I own this in the (now discontinued) Metallic Gold finish and am incredibly impressed at the build quality - it's solid even compared to my ESP Eclipse-I CTM - and how good the ESP Designed LH-150 pickups sound. I'm confident that there is no better value for money guitar out there.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Josh, thanks for the compliments. It is a great value for the price and build well.

Josh Dalviken

This classic black w/ gold version as well as the satin finish ones should be the same price as the older discontinued models, yes. :-)

Andrew L.

Ah, that's a relief! I'm surely going to invest in one! By the way, is the satin or other variations of black at the same price as the metallic gold finish?

Josh Dalviken

No Andrew, only the Metallic Gold (goldtop) version. All the models and finishes shown here on the ESP site are still available and I highly recommend that you invest in one!

Andrew L.

Is this model really discontinued?? I was really looking forward to buying it soon. :(
