It plays roughly half as well as my Charvel DK24 Pro Mod, but having said that, it is a lot of fun to play. The pickups are pretty weak as far as output, but do have nice mids. They bark and do have a rich harmonic character. I am replacing them with EMG's today... The volume knob stopped working after the 1st day and the guitar had a heavy chemical odor out of the box. I purchased this guitar online from ZZounds. The fret ends are very nice, but there is a bit of uneven fret height that will need to be addressed before I can have the action where I want it. All in all, it is a very nice feeling guitar for it's price range and I have been enjoying it since I got it last week and am looking forward to many years of playing it. My review of it will be produced and posted in the coming week or so. Thanks for the guitar!  I always wanted an LTD and am happy to have this one. BTW the finish is absolutely beautiful.
