Formerly called “ESP Standard”, all ESP E-II instruments are created at our ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars and basses. The E-II Eclipse Full Thickness is exactly as the name implies… a body with traditionally thick design. This guitar offers set-thru construction, using a mahogany body with flamed maple top that has an outstanding Vintage Honey Burst finish, complemented by single ply crème binding. The E-II Eclipse Full Thickness also features a mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard that includes ESP flag inlays, and a satin finish on the back for super smooth playability. Premier components include Gotoh locking tuners, a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece, a bone nut, Dunlop locking strap buttons, and a set of Seymour Duncan '59 and JB Chrome pickups that offer push-pull controls to split each pickup. Includes an ESP hardshell form-fitting case.

1) Is this gonna be solid body?

2) Is the fret wires of Stainless Steel type?

3) Any picture of the Hardcase provided?

4) Is the guitar fully setup upon delivery? What action height for the low and high E at 12 frets?

5) So this FT body, is the diameter at the side 50mm, just like Gibson LP?

6) I belive the wood type for the body, neck and fretboard would be grade A type wood?

Todd B. ESP

HI Anthony, there are a lot of questions to answer here. Generally best to contact customerservice@espguitars.com to get your questions answered. Yes, solid body, No SS frets, we use standard nickel Silver frets for these, picture of the case can be found on our case pages here: https://www.espguitars.com/products/12710-cecff

Guitar has been qc'd and inspected, we recommend every player to get their instrument fully setup to their specs if necessary after they receive it (some dealers offer this service per customer), Yes 60mm center thickness & 50mm thickness on side of body, We use the best grade wood available for our production but there is no official grade.

Thanks Todd!

One more question, Is the Maple top is just a veneer, Or, thick Maple Top?

Hi, I have a 2016 or 2017 version of this and love it.  It's about 1-5/8" thick.  How thick is this new one?  Thank-you!

Todd B. ESP

Hi, glad to hear that. All our Full Thickness Eclipse models are 60mm thick in the center of body. That is a little under 2 3/8".

Shaun Q.

Will this guitar be nitro or poly finished?

Todd B. ESP

This is a poly finish. Nitro is not used for our E-II models.
