Ken Susi is one of the two-guitar attack that comprises Massachusetts-based metal core heroes Unearth (the other being fellow ESP player Buz McGrath). Ken’s precise approach to soaring leads and ultra-tight rhythms is reflected perfectly with the KS-M6 EverTune, a 6-string version of Ken’s KS-M7 guitar. Offering a neck-thru-body design at 25.5” scale for excellent stability and sustain, the KS-M6 is highlighted by two innovative components: an EverTune constant tension bridge, and Fishman Fluence® Modern Humbucker active pickups. These pickups allow for a remarkable degree of sonic flexibility right from the guitar’s controls: the volume knob features a push-pull control for -5dB of gain reduction when pulled up, while the push-pull on the tone control selects the pickup voicing (down for “Modern Active” tone, or up for “Modern Passive Attack”). Available in Metallic Silver finish.

ESP Guitars Can replacement pickguards for the KS-M6 be ordered from ESP?

Todd B. ESP

Sorry we do not sell these parts separately.

If you have any more questions or need help with warranty service, please contact ESP Customer Service at customerservice@espguitars.com

Why does the battery only last two weeks? I turn it off, and unplug it when it's not in use.

Todd B. ESP

Hi, if you are unplugging while not in use then you are doing the right thing. Usually this type of battery drainage happens when leaving it plugged in for extended periods. According to Fishman, their Fluence pickups should give you approximately 100 playing hours using a 9V battery with 2 of their pickups. If you think there is something still not right please contact our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com so they can look into your issue further.

Bjørn Ivar R.

That sounds really weird, Ian. I had Fishman Fluence Moderns installed in an Epiphone 6 months ago, and the battery is still not dead! I obviously don't play them for many hours a day, but my point is that your battery should not drain that fast while your guitar is unplugged.

Nick K.

With active pickups, if you leave the cable connected to the guitar, and it’s plugged in, the preamp is turned on, and it’s using the battery, even if you’re not playing it.

If you are the DIY type, you can rig up a switch that sits as the last element in the circuit, or — a much easier option, get a 9V lithium battery from Amazon that has a USB-C port on it that can be re-charged easily.  These are super cheap ($10 or so) and require no modifications to the guitar.  If ESP weren’t so cheap they would ship the guitars with re-chargeable 9V batteries like these.

It did it to like 4 batteries. So I tried some  higher end Duracell batteries, and haven't had an issue since. Been about two months with the same Duracell, so I guess it just needed a better battery.

Richard R.

If this had an Alder Body it would be the perfect guitar for me. That being said, I'm buying it anyway. It just seems every guitar I buy ends up having a Mahogany Body for  some reason.

Todd B. ESP

Hey Richard, thanks for your suggestion. We hope you like your guitar when you get it. We'll pass along your suggestions, however in this case the specs are determined by the artist.

Finally got my hands on one, can't wait for it to arrive

Carl N.

hope you enjoy it when it arrives!

Its awesome and the evertune is super easy to use. The dang guitar came out of the box in tune and intonated

Are there some KS M-6 six-strings out there with a black pickguard/hardware?  The pics at some retailers seem to be in black.

The silver/mirror/chrome is absolutely sick BTW.  Mine would have to be w/mirror/chrome

Thanks!

Carl N.

These models will all have mirrored pickguards, the photos by some retailers may have been taken with a black background, which would be reflected in the pickguard.

PaulK

Thanks, Carl!
