Hello, I just purchased an EC-257 and I want to upgrade the bridge. How do I tell what size the posts are?

Todd B. ESP

Hi the posts are standard metric large size. You will find Tonepros and Gotoh have the same large post sizes. Here is a link: https://tonepros.com/t3bt-tonepros-metric-tuneomatic-large-posts-notched-saddles/

Hello everyone, I cannot find specs for the pickups (height etc). Can anyone please help with specs, and/or if it's possible to change the bridge pickup let's say with any Fishman Fluence?

There is no spec for pickup height. Any standard replacement humbucker can be swapped out. For more help or general tech questions please contact our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com

Im trying to upgrade the TOM bridge on my 257 but I'm having trouble finding a 7 string TOM bridge. Do you know of any aftermarket bridges that'll work?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Kyle, I would suggest the Tonepros TOM, we use them on a lot of our higher end guitars. Here is a link: https://tonepros.com/tp7-tonepros-7-string-metric-tuneomatic-large-posts/

I know that the weight of the guitar may vary based on the piece of wood the guitar was made of, but is this guitar generally lighter or heavier than the MH-17? It seems like it would be heavier since it's made of mahogany and has the eclipse body. Also is neck drop a problem with this guitar? If so what kind of strap could I use to avoid that?

Carl N.

Should be a bit heavier.  Haven't heard of any neck dive issues with this or any straps that alleviate this issue, typically the problem of neck dive comes from an imbalanced instrument or the positioning of the strap buttons.
