DISTRESSED & BURNT

If you’re one of the many guitarists influenced by the intense performances of Rammstein founder Richard ZK, the ESP E-II RZK-II Burnt offers all of the glorious power, style, and attitude that defines this great player. Built at the ESP factory in Japan, the E-II RZK-II Burnt takes the single-cutaway Eclipse shape and presents it in a remarkably distressed finish, with burn marks and gouges over its top and headstock. The RZK-II Burnt offers an alder body and maple neck in neck-thru-body construction for terrific sustain and tone. It’s built at a 25.5” scale, slightly longer than a typical Eclipse, making it great for downtuning. The guitar also provides a rosewood fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets and white neck binding. Its high-end professional components include Gotoh tuners, ESP strap locks, and a Floyd Rose Original tremolo. It also offers the innovative and flexible Fishman Fluence Richard Z Signature Series pickup set, with Modern alnico in the neck and Modern ceramic in the bridge, both with brushed stainless covers. These unique and toneful pickups use a hybrid magnet configuration.

What is the difference between this and the esp version? Other than custom built and factory built...is there a price difference? Quality of build difference? Availability difference?

Todd B. ESP

Hi, basically the difference comes down to our E-II Production factory or ESP Custom shop. The overall design and build will be the same. For more questions please contact our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com

Hello, I have a question. I just got this guitar today and I noticed on the body of it there looks like there’s spots that can flake/ chip off easily on the body. Is that a part of the design or is there an issue with mine? I love the guitar just wanting to make sure everything is ok with it. Thanks!

Carl N.

Due to the manner in which this instrument is produced, it is literally burnt, there is a chance that some pieces may flake off over time.

Lukáš K.

Hi! I once asked, don´t remember who but he was involved with ESP guitars about if they will ever make an LTD model of this one, and the person told me that it is not currently possible to recreate this finish in your LTD factory, so I am asking, why don´t you just put a vinyl and clear coat over it. I know that it won´t be same as like original but would look like his guitar. I know that this doesn´t belong to ask under this guitar´s quotes but it is sad that we will never see any Japanese artist models in ESP or LTD line, I am a huge fan of Syu´s ( Galneryus ) crying star that is a sick ass guitar, but I am more for the shape not the sig model.

Carl N.

Hey Lukáš, a graphic wouldn't do this instrument justice.  Hence why we don't produce cheaper versions of this instrument, solely E-II and ESP versions for now.

Lukáš K.

Hey Carl, thank you for your response, it´s sad tho, it was cool when you were making LTD versions of RZK I and II without this finish, now you produce only with the finish and those LTD are gone. Also have you ever heard of ESP SR300 or something like that? Just found on ESP USA channel a cool guy named Sammy Duet from Goatwhore and he have his Star shaped ESP, that thing is hell of an instrument, will you ever be making any kinds of star shaped guitars or these are gone?

Carl N.

Hey Lukáš, agreed very sad.  No plans at the moment to make a production model based off of that custom.

Lukáš K.

Hey Carl, thank you for your response, I will look forward to all new upcomings from ESP/LTD guitars and to give some more input if possible.

HOW I wish something like this, an Eclipse with 25.5 scale, but without the Floyd would be available. I just can't get used to the shorter scale but love the typical single cut style of guitar and also the classic set-neck maple/mahogany construction. Also in these times when down-tuning is becoming so common in metal and heavy music a 25.5 scale is a no-brainer

Carl N.

Hey Christian, our artist series instruments will be made in conjunction with our artist's specifications.  Perhaps our other E-II Eclipse models would be to your liking?

Hi Carl!

I strongly prefer 25.5 inch scale necks, that's why I ordered a ESP Stream GT Classic that will arrive here at my home tomorrow! Can't wait

Carl N.

Very cool Christian, hope you enjoy it!
