Ordered LTD EC 256 "cherry burst" from GC.  Interested in the guitars neck and weight.  In MM how thick is the neck at the 12th fret?  What is the weight?

Is the CB neck also matte, satin, or unfinished? Is this the 2019 model with all flag neck?  Sometimes aesthetics matter too.  ;-)

If it were available for the same price, the black satin has a bad boy look I dig.

However, The Cherry is a classic look. Gonna be a great guitar with much of what I want, esp. the XJ frets and flat back neck.

Thanks guys!

Hi Rick, thanks for your inquiry. We hope that you enjoy your new instrument!

Please understand that weights and neck measurements will vary in production so we cannot give you a specific weight or measurement, however it should be within proximity.

Weight: between 8-9 lbs

Neck thickness @ 12F: 22-23mm

The neck finish matches the finish on the top of body.  Inlays are all flags with model name on truss rod cover.

hope this info helps.

Can you take a look at the Guitar Center and Musician's friend websites?

Are they just wrong/misleading? Or is it possible that these models were upgraded somehow? I even wrote to Guitar Center and they told he they are locking tuners.

For some reason I can't post the links here.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Ari A. You can send me the links in a private message if you like. But we do not not make the EC-256 with locking tuners. I will pass this info to our people who handle their accounts in case they can help them fix their spec.

Ari A.

Can anyone confirm that this guitar comes with locking tuners? Both Guitar Center and Musician's Friend are listing them as "ESP Locking". That right?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Ari, This model does not come with locking tuners. We include locking tuners on our 1000 series and 600 Signature series. Everything else includes standard tuners.

Hi guys!

I have been really interested in picking up a guitar for the past few months. Is the 256 a beginner-friendly model?

Thanks!

Todd B. ESP

Hi Abraham, Great to hear this. Yes the EC-256 is an excellent choice for a beginner model. It should feel more like a professional guitar or intermediate level guitar compared to most beginner models, but if you can afford it then it is a very good choice.

Hi,

Is it possibe to mount Emg 81/60 on this guitar ?
I mean is there enough space to place the battery back there ?

Thanks

Todd B. ESP

Hi Florent, Yes you can do this. You have to replace the pots and jack along with the pickups. And there is enough space in the cavity to include a battery. Just need to wrap the battery in some thin foam to keep it from touching the contacts. It would be a great upgrade if you can do it.
