World Taekwondo Culture Expo Demonstration Performance

Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, is holding various Taekwondo competitions to raise the status of a Taekwondo city in celebration of this year's 'Year of Visiting Muju, a Special Natural City'.

According to the military on the 23rd, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Taekwondo's adoption as an official Olympic sport and the 10th anniversary of the opening of Muju Taekwondowon, a series of events will be held at Taekwondowon this year with the participation of 20,000 Taekwondo practitioners from home and abroad.

The 17th World Taekwondo Culture Expo, where Taekwondo competitions and culture can be enjoyed together, will be held from July 18 to 23, and the 8th Kim Un-yong Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition, honoring the late IOC Chairman Kim Un-yong, will be held from August 17 to 21.

Next, from September 6 to 8, the World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond Games will be held in a diamond-shaped structure stadium incorporating cutting-edge information and communication (IT) technology.

Additionally, about 2,000 Taekwondo referees and instructors participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics will participate in training hosted by the World Taekwondo Federation in May.

In addition, various Taekwondo demonstrations and competitions in which domestic athletes participate are held throughout the year.
