Korean skeleton will take the stage at the 2023-2024 International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup.

Seung-gi Jeong (24) and Ji-soo Kim (29, Gangwon Provincial Office) will participate in the first round of the new season World Cup held at the Yanqing Sliding Center in China from the 17th to the 19th.

Yanqing Track is where the sledding race at the 2020 Beijing Olympics was held, and the skeleton race will be held on the 17th, the first day of the competition.

After the 1st Yenching Games, the national team will move to Europe and participate in the 2nd Games in La Plagne, France, and the 3rd Games in Innsbruck, Austria, before returning home and taking a Christmas break.

He will then leave the country again and return after playing the remaining World Cup schedule and the World Championships until March 3 next year.

‘Ace’ Jeong Seung-gi, who finished last season in 4th place in the IBSF rankings, has set his goal to enter the top 3 this season by finishing in the top 3.

Seung-gi Jeong said, “I will do my best to achieve a good ranking at the Yanqing World Cup.”

Kim Ji-soo, who finished 6th last season, said, "This season, my goal is to compete consistently without any ups and downs," and added, "I will work hard to get into 6th place in the season's overall ranking."

This is the season where preparations for the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics begin, so the 'process' is as important as the result.

There is no time to try various things in the 2025-2026 season, when the Olympics will be held, and in the 2024-2025 season, when the focus must be on improving skills in preparation for the Olympics.

This season will be the last time we will have the opportunity to explore the best methodology through various variations, from training methods to sled settings.

This World Cup will be broadcast live on JTBC Golf & Sports and the IBSF official YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, the bobsled team, which has entered a generational change, will compete in the North American Cup, which is one level lower than the World Cup.

In the first competition held at the Lake Placid track in New York, USA on the 15th (local time), Kim Jin-soo (Gangwon Provincial Office) team, who competed in the men's two-man race, took second place.

Kim Ji-su's team consists of pilot Kim Jin-su and brakeman Kim Seon-wook (Korea National Sport University).

In the women's monobob (single seater), Inyoung Park (Korea National Sport University) placed 9th. 슬롯사이트
