Stef Custom Auction

All Proceeds Going to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund and Matched by ESP!

In an effort to help raise money for MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, ESP is selling this incredible, highly collectible guitar. Built by our luthiers at the ESP Custom Shop in Japan for Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter in April 2005, it’s an ESP Horizon Custom in black finish with Pearloid binding and mother of pearl ESP logo. The 6-string, 25.5” scale, neck-thru-body guitar, played and personally autographed by Stef himself, has a three pickup configuration including one Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB Humbucker in the bridge, an ESP LH-200 in the middle position, and a direct-mount ESP SS-120 slanted single coil in the neck. It also offers a graphite nut, Gotoh tuners, and a Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru-body design.

Perhaps more importantly, the ESP Guitar Company will match the sale price, and 100% of the funds will be donated in full to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. MusiCares offers assistance to people in the music community, offering services and resources that cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies. The MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund is being supported by companies including Amazon Music, Spotify, Sirius XM, Universal Music Group, Tidal, and many others, as well as through individual donations from people like you. Again, be aware that a) this is a custom instrument with a very high value for serious guitar collectors, and b) the sale price is being matched by ESP for a very substantial total donation to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. We thank you for your generosity in making this an effort that will help save lives!
