2020 Product Preview 2

Back in November, we gave you the first phase of our 2020 New Model Preview, but we promised there would be more. Much more. Now it’s time to unveil Phase II! Again, we’ll remind you: there is still more to come! But for now, take a look at the next batch of new guitars and basses for the upcoming year.

Amazing New Basses

Bass players, when we posted Phase I of our new product debuts, a lot of you felt left out. It’s time to rectify that situation by showing off a bunch of our new basses that will be available next year. Let’s start with the new additions to our F Series. With its sculpted and contoured body, the F shape has long been a favorite of players of the heaviest music styles. Based on many requests from bass players around the world, we’re adding LTD Deluxe versions of these basses with the F-1004 and 5-string F-1005. While they look great with a flamed maple top in See Thru Black finish, these basses are also the first we’ve offered with a Fishman active pickups set. The innovative Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbars offer multiple voicings with coil splitting via a push-pull volume control, as well as a balance control and 2-band EQ with a 3-way mini switch for voice 1, voice 2 (mid cut), and voice 2 (mid flat). Both basses use neck-thru-body construction, and have a 24 stainless steel fret neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard with a See Thru Black Satin finish on the back of the neck.

Other additions to LTD’s F Series basses include the new F-204 and F-205 (5-string), offered in Black Satin finish and designed for musicians on a budget who still want a high-quality instrument. These basses have bolt-on 5-piece maple/jatoba necks on mahogany bodies, and feature ESP Designed SB-4 and SB-5 pickups with 3-band active EQ.

It’s been a long time since we updated our popular D Series basses. These instruments are constantly in use with a wide variety of players in genres ranging from metal to funk to jazz and more. The new LTD D-4, D-5 (5-string), and D-6 (6-string) basses offer a burled poplar top in Black Natural Burst Satin finishes. All three models are neck-thru-body designs with a 7-piece maple/jatoba neck and mahogany body, and come with ESP Designed SB-4, SB-4, or SB-6 pickups with 3-band active EQ.

More LTD Deluxe “1000 Series” Additions

Yes, even after the last big batch of new LTD Deluxe guitar models that we debuted in November, we have even more to tell you about. We can get started with two huge additions to our SN Series with the SN-1000HT in Purple Blast finish, and the SN-1000FR in Black Blast finish. Both of these new guitars feature a swamp ash body and a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, which is scalloped above the 17th fret and has stainless steel frets. Perhaps the most immediate noticeable thing, though, is their killer sand blasted finish! The SN-1000HT has a Seymour Duncan Sentient/Pegasus pickup set that is splittable with a push-pull control, and a Hipshot fixed bridge. The SN-1000FR comes in an H/S/S pickup configuration, with two Seymour Duncan Hot Strat single-coils and a Pegasus in the bridge, as well as a Floyd Rose 1000SE bridge with stainless steel screws.

Last year, we introduced a couple of outstanding additions to our Xtone Series with the first models in the LTD Deluxe range. We’ve expanded on those in two killer new finishes with the PS-1000 Blue Sparkle and the PS-1000 Vintage Black. These semi-hollow guitars sound great for just about any genre, and have a set of outstanding Seymour Duncan Phat Cat single-coils. The new PS-1000 models also offer a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, and a set-thru 3-piece maple neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard.

Yet another new LTD Deluxe guitar debuting for 2020 is this M-1000 in Purple Natural Burst. Like many M Series models, the updated M-1000 is a shredder’s dream come true. It’s a neck-thru-body design with an alder body and a burled poplar top, and an extra-thin U-shaped 3-piece maple neck and Macassar ebony fingerboard. For a little extra speed and comfort, it has a natural satin finish on the back of the neck. The M-1000 includes an EMG 57TW/66TW pickup set with push-pull controls on volume and tone to split each pickup discretely.
