String height at first fret

    Hello! I couldn’t find this info in the manual. What is your recommended string height at the first fret(High E/Low E) with a capo on third fret? Thanks in advance!

    I don't know ESPs specs, but I try to shoot between .018" and .022". I don't use a capo at the 3rd when I measure.

        Hello Armando,

        Our setup specifications are on page 6 of the ESP Manual.  We do not measure the action with a capo at the 3rd fret.

          The manual doesn’t state what string height/gap should be at first fret whether fretted or not. I’d like to know what the ESP techs consider appropriate for that measurement. Thanks in advance!

            Hey Armando, 

            A safe measurement is just short of 1/32nd on the low E and about 1/64th at the high e without any frets engaged.
