"Pre" KH2 model?

    The reason that I'm thinking that my guitar is a "pre" KH2 is because its loaded with an passive ESP pickups, it has an original Floyd Rose and a Kirk signature on the headstock. 
    it seems to me that my guitar is the "missing link" between the ESP M2 Skull & Crossbones and the standard KH2 because of the pickups, the bridge, and the signature on the headstock.  what do you think? am I missing something here?, could you get a passive KH2? thanks for your time and knowledge.
