    Viper control cavity top thickness

     What is the thickness of the top in the cavity? What height should the threaded collar be on the pots in order to clear the thickness of the top? I want to replace the existing controls with concentric pots so I can have independent volume and tone for each pickup. Plans are to use cts pots and switch, so the cavity holes will be enlarged with a t-handle reamer. I don't want to gut the cavity until I have all the parts, so I can't measure the top thickness. Anybody here try this yet?

    A standard length concentric potentiometer will work fine for this instrument. The top thickness above the control cavity is usually between 3-5 millimeters.
