Pedal Repair
Is there a place that I can send a pedal to for repair that won't cost more than the pedal? My MXR Stereo Chorus pedal sounds horrible, sort of distorted even when it's off. Any ideas what is wrong? Not sure if it's worth fixing or just toss it out.

Do those MXR pedals have surface mount components? If so, unless it's a trivial fix, I doubt it would be economical to send it somewhere. If they aren't surface mounted, probably anybody with a soldering iron, a multimeter, and some know-how could fix it.
However, if your sound is distorted even in bypass, I would venture that it's a power supply issue, especially since those pedals take 18 V. Are you sure your batteries are fresh? Make sure to check those before you throw the pedal in the bin.
