Mesa Boogie V-Twin Tube Preamp Pedal ?

    MESA BOOGIE V-TWIN TUBE PREAMP PEDAL , can anyone tell me if these pedals are any good, how would they sound for distortion running through a Randall RG72 G2 amp ? Or can anyone recommend a brutal sounding distorion pedal to use and any other pedals to couple up with it ? Thanks.

    These don't do well for boosting amps. Too loose sounding. Great for bluesey overdrive or pure lead tone, but thats about it. Works best coupled with tube amps. Guitarist in my band wanted one bad, now has a rockin' horse pedal that he reckons is the shiznit. GAS cured, if you will. :lol
