Question about binding on fret board

    I just purchased a ec 1000amber sunburst and was wondering if this is a finish flaw or damage from the dealer

    It could be either. It could have happened before it left the factory, during shipping to the guitar shop, at the shop or in shipping to you. There's probably no way to identify where in the process it happened.

    If it bothers you, you should return it.

      So you think its damage its hard to tell from the pic but where it looks flat/chipped is has a tip of see thru plastic like the finish wasnt done right I wonder what Esp Quality control has to say about this

        No, I see the damage. It's hard to tell at what point it happened. There's a lot of traveling and a lot of hands that touch it between when it leaves the factory and when it gets to you. The guitar may have been spotless when it left Korea (or wherever) and still spotless when it left LA.

        As I said, if it bothers you, you should return it.
