I'm thinking about investing in a LTD 1000 tier guitar and I need to decide whether I go for the EC-Black Metal or the EC-1000 Vintage Black.

The thing is, I barely use the neck pickup on my band, I just go for max tone, bridge pickup and max volume.

In terms of sounds, the direct-mounted black winter pickup sounds really appealing when it comes to output and roughness, on the other hand, EMGs are always a good choice.

On the aesthetic aspect, both guitars are beautiful, I love the way the BM series were designed, they are simple as they could be, very minimalist and it only has what is needed.

The 1000VB has a very premium layout, it feels expensive and classy with an aggressive posture but I really hate those flag layout, they're too big and completely ruin the subtle feel of the guitar.

Would you share your opinions, pros and cons?
