Rare Ebony Snow White?

Picked up a LTD Deluxe Ebony Snow White (M-1000) and noticed that it does not have the 12th fret inlay as the model #.
I'm thinking this is a rare LTD (or custom shop perhaps?) since I cannot find a single Ebony Snow White without the "M-1000" 12th fret inlay.

Is this uncommon or something that ESP/LTD has started doing recently? The EMG 81's that came with the guitar were made in 09/2017, so the guitar isn't but 6 months old.

Last year ESP advised that through an ongoing process they were eliminating the 12th fret model number inlay from all models.  The model number would be placed on the headstock or TRC and the 12th fret inlay would match the others along the fretboard.

Thanks for the reply. Personally, I think that is a good move by ESP.

Lol you would think ESP would have thought of that years ago. Just like why the hell Gibson still insists on a stepped heel is beyond me.
