EC-256 with 9's

i have always used EB super slinky 9's on my only other guitar a telecaster and do find the 10's on the 256 difficult to bend. So looking for opinions please on putting these on the ltd.

Currently has d'addario 10's and also wondering if super slinky 10 would be better?

also considering a hybrid set?

cheers

I recently acquired a used EC-1000.   I put a set of D'Addario NYXL 9's on it after I got it home.   After I did this the frets were buzzing badly, especially on the open strings.  I was able to fix this by loosening the truss rod a little and compensating for the fact that the lighter strings don't pull as hard against the neck.   If you don't know how to adjust your truss rod then I'd take the guitar to a tech and have a setup done on it.  There's no reason you shouldn't be able to run 9's on it if that's what you like.

I run Dean Markley 9's on both of my 256's, work fine, lots of stretch.
