Im confused, about the specs on the LTD

M-1001 it says locking nut 42mm

And nut width 43mm.

I thought the locking nut is always the same width as the nut. Arent all ESP guitars 42mm nut width

Actually I want to change my 43mm R3 nut to 42mm R2 nut. 42mm nut will give slightly closer string separation, more ideal for techical playing. What actually means 43mm nut width is the width of the finger board at the nut. Kindly, please correct me if im wrong

Oh ok i see what your saying.

Thats correct.

I just wanted to make sure before i purchase this guitar. I dont like 43mm nut widths. 42 is perfect for me

the 42mm width @ yhe nut is like on les paul right? i tried ecplise before, the 42mm width @ nut + binding on the sides make the fretboard looks really narror and the binding makes it look crowded in playing view. ahh i think its just me used to M ii tidy fretboard
