Viper Differences

    Hey guys. new guy here. i'm rollin' a black Viper 400. i really like it but to be honest i like the natural finish of the Viper 300 better but i was wondering, aside from the pick ups (i got an '04) what's the differences between the 300's, 400's and the 1000's (besides binding,abalone, and locking turners)? thanks guys

      Mainly hardware. The 400's use gotohs and active emg's, the old 300/301's have passive emg-hz's and ltd branded tuners. I think there are some new 300 lines made now too, but I don't know much except they're made in indonesia. Older 300/400 series were all made in Korea, the new ones are Indonesian built. 1000 line is still Korean built.

        i like the new 1000 line vipers. that pickguard (to me) adds class. i've been scouring the internet for a that pickguard in black or even B/W 2 ply but no luck. thanks man
