ESP Eclipse - pot shaft diameter??

    Hi,

    I am proud owner of an ESP LTD Elite Eclipse I (24 frets and 3 knobs). I am pretty happy with the guitar but I am not a fan of the original knobs. Today I am on a business trip and found knobs I really like. My problem: I am unsure what diameter the pot shafts are and since I didn't take my guitar with me I am not able to see for myself.

    The shop guy told me that ESP uses metric pots with a 6mm shaft diameter which would make sense considering ESP is an Japanese company. However, I think that the previous owner told me that he had installed Gibson knobs on the guitar when he played it - and those are 1/4" diameter!

    Can you guys help me out?

    6mm is correct for the stock pots.

      I am fairly certain that my guitar still has the stock pots installed. I asked my brother to measure the inner diameter of the "Gibson knobs" that came with the guitar when I bought it and he told me it was slightly below 6mm (5,95mm) - so they will most probably will be "Gibson knob lookalikes" rather than originals...
