ESP Sould Buy Rights to Explorer

    With Gibson's bankruptcy filing, Gibson should sell the rights of the Explorer to ESP.  ESP made a far superior Explorer than Gibson ever did.

        It wasn't a "bankruptcy" bankruptcy but rather a discharge of some business units that weren't profitable. Rest assured that there will be 2019 Explorers out by the end of the year. 

         

        As far as ESP making a far superior Explorer.....not exactly the case. They've made some iconic Explorers, but I'll put my 1984 Gibson Explorer with ebony fret board up against any of my ESP's in terms of playability and sound. All of the '84 design Explorers were lighter than any of the ESP's I've played as well. They were the guitar the MX-220 modeled after.
