Frank Bello's Altitudes & Attitude Premier "Out Here" Lyric Video

You almost certainly know iconic ESP player Frank Bello as the bass player from one of the most influential thrash metal bands on the planet: Anthrax. However, Frank's other musical project, Altitudes & Attitude, is quite different. Teaming up with Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson, the band kicked off back in 2014 with a self-titled EP, but are just now getting ready to release their debut full-length album, Get It Out, which is scheduled to come out January 19, 2019 on Megaforce Records. In this band, Frank takes over the guitar and lead vocal duties along with a good portion of the songwriting, and their sound has an edgy hard rock vibe that's very different from their respective more well-known bands. Based on the feel of the single "Out Here" which you can check out below, we have a lot to look forward to with this collaboration between the two respected musicians!

For the Altitudes & Attitude album, Frank turned to ESP for a couple of decidedly non-bass instruments: an ESP Eclipse and an LTD TE-254 which were both used extensively for Frank's guitar parts.

In a recent interview with Loudwire, Frank spoke about the cathartic effect of writing songs. “A lot of these lyrics are about the inner struggles of my life, and about the rage that has built up from my life experiences -- my brother’s murder; my father abandoning my family when we were young, leaving us with no funds to pay the bills... the ups and downs of life in general. I’ve always had an anger inside that music really helps me deal with.”

The upcoming album also features a killer list of guest stars including Ace Frehley, Gus G., Nita Strauss, Christian Martucci and Steel Panther's Satchel. Altitudes & Attitude will also be playing select live dates toward the start of next year:

Jan 26-31: ShipRocked
Feb 7: Nottingham, UK (Rescue Rooms)
Feb 9: Manchester, UK (Academy 3)
Feb 10: London, UK (Underworld)
Feb 12: Norwich, UK (The Waterfront)
